The tower crane at 90 Elgin was removed on Saturday August 10th. This job was accomplished by an even-larger crane that was sent from Toronto. With Albert Street closed the tower crane was disassembled and then lifted in pieces through the voids in the floor slabs to the top of the building. From there the pieces were lowered to the street. The voids in the floor slabs have been designed to be filled in after the removal of the tower crane.
