Train/Coventry Pedestrian Bridge | Ottawa, Ontario
Client: City of Ottawa
In addition to serving as a pedestrian linkage between the Overbrook residential community, municipal facilities at the Ottawa ballpark and the future LRT station at the Via Rail Station, the bridge acts as an eastern gateway to the National Capital. Construction of the half-kilometre-long project was initiated in the fall of 2012 with the forming of substantial concrete piers in the center median of the Queensway and at the north end of the bridge’s length.
