It is with mixed emotions that we announce Bill Crompton’s retirement from active practice. While his stepping back is well deserved, we will greatly miss him in the day-to-day life of the firm because, having joined us in 1981, he is truly one of the “originals.” First to be hired for the Ottawa branch office of our predecessor firm, Sankey Partnership Architects, for forty-one years, Bill has been a supportive member of our team as an outstanding example of a practicing architect: innovative, diligent and caring, always with our clients’ interests at heart. Elected a Fellow of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada, Bill has been a mentor not only to our staff but to the RAIC’s Syllabus Program, which provides a path to licensing for qualified candidates. We wish Bill all the best in his retirement!
