As an architect or designer, we always  wonder if or when we might have the chance to design our own home.  Many of us never get the opportunity, but perhaps more importantly, many of us don’t have the nerve to actually do it.  When you spend your career focused on design, amassing ideas about spaces, finishes and style, it is no small challenge to assemble the very best of these ideas into a cohesive whole, reflective of your life’s work.  Talk about pressure!  So it is with much admiration and respect (and maybe a bit of envy) that we congratulate James Salem on rising to this challenge – and doing such a great job of it.
